About Me

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I completed my PhD in political science at Columbia University and specialize in American politics and political economic theory. 

My research centers on how federalism influences policy design and implementation. In particular, I examine the circumstances under which the federal government delegates authority over welfare programs to the states as well as the impact this decision has on inequality and policy design.
